Ha, Ha, Ha, "What's raised here, stays here"
If the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors pulls off this 1/2 cent sales tax increase, the surrounding bay area counties can expect the same from their boards of supervisors. This is important!
Please forward this posting to as many people as possible. We need to spread the word to every taxpayer in every bay area county.

The Supporters of Measure A (Santa Clara County 1/2 cent sales tax increase) say, "What's Raised Here Stays Here"
How do you know that's true?
Have you seen any written document to prove this?
Are you going by blind faith in politicians in trusting strangers with your money?
Have you seen the doofus on the ad pushing for Measure A on TV? He nods approval like a simpleton that will believe anything. You could probably sell him the Golden Gate Bridge. Are you that doofus?
Don't fall for Measure A.
The fact the Board of Supervisors wants more money is proof that can't manage what they have. They have a champagne menu yet they have a beer budget. You don't give alcohol to an alcoholic, and you don't give money to a spendthrift!
Did you know? Did you know...... that the County Executive has $160 million-ish deficits going out the next 4 years, but yet the supporters of Measure A are saying you are going to get healthcare and transportation improvements. They have to pay what they owe before they go out and spend more!
Do you know what you're going to get? Shafted, big time. They need money just to pay what they already have committed to and then any overflow will be fought over by VTA and healthcare groups.
Do you really, really trust strangers taking your money? Politicians
are spend-addicts. Between the city of San Jose and the County of
Santa Clara, we have had issues with 7,000 seat concert halls,
$544 million dollar city halls, kick backs to Grand Prix officials, ball
park research without resident approval, and probably so many
other things we are not even aware. Find one cockroach and there
are many more in hiding.
And don't expect the San Jose Mercury News (SJMN) to do any real reporting on Measure A because 1) they endorse it, and 2) the San Jose Mercury News is one of the 200 members of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group (SVLG) that pushed the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors to put the issue on the ballot. Also, the SVLG is forking over the money for the campaign to pass this slick, money-grabbing, scum-sucking, back-breaking TAX increase.
Why would a sane, reasoning person agree to this Measure A money grab? Why would you pass another TAX? Students buying textbooks pay this tax; parents getting diapers for kids pay this tax. Our elderly pay this increased sales tax as well, and the hypocrites on the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors proclaim to care for the elderly.
I'm sorry, but does whacking the elders across the head with higher taxes show compassion for the plight of the elderly? Why would we, the voters, vote for this mandated "elder abuse?"
"Hey, you lackey SJMN and SVLG, why aren't you supporting the taxpayer?" Or are you just an agent of the King's tax collector?
"Hey, San Jose Mercury News and Silicon Valley Leadership Group, stop screwing the population." It's time the public knows your lapdog is the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors.
===============================================
Dear public taxpayer and voter,
If you agree to this tax, drop your drawers and wait for the next one! If you are foolish enough to go for this tax relying on trusting the board, the SJMN, and the SVLG, you are opening the flood gates and "tsunami-after-tsunami" of tax increases are coming your way!
Don't believe the hype! If it is as good as the supporters say it is, then they can try it again on the next voting cycle, and it will give them time to put enforcement into the measure.
Enforcement ranks over accountability.
It's amazing that a supposedly community newspaper, the San Jose Mercury News, supports a measure so flimsy and lacking of enforcement.
Stop your subscription to the San Jose Mercury News. Don't buy the Mercury News. Buy you own local community papers. Get news on the internet. The SJMN says take "a leap of faith" and vote for Measure A. Why don't you just tell the SJMN to "take a leap."
Sincerely Yours,
one wised-up, savvy, taxpayer watchdog, pissed off at the lap-dog Santa Clara Board of Supervisors and their evil puppeteers--the SJMN and the SVLG
===============================================
There is no enforcement in Measure A. The supporters promise accountability. Ha, Ha, Hah! Watching someone spend money without having any power to stop them is ridiculous.
Vote NO on Measure A

P.S. Forward this posting to as many people as possible. We need to spread the word to every taxpayer in every bay area county.
P.S.S. Dont' forward this to the Board of Supervisors, the San Jose Mercury News, or the Silicon Valley Leadership Group. They can't handle the truth...
